SROC backs Live Content Coalition call for shorter review of EC piracy Recommendation

The Sports Rights Owners Coalition (SROC) has joined with the other members of the Live Content Coalition (LCC) in calling for the European Commission to review its recently published Recommendation on combating online piracy of sports and other live events sooner than the 2.5-year timeframe it sets out. Whilst recognising the significance of the first ever European initiative to address piracy, SROC and the LCC want to see more ambition from the Commission in tackling the scourge of illegal piracy of live events in Europe.
